The LietoColle publishing company - sole trader - was established in 1985 by Michelangelo Camelliti(*) (the Publisher) who, always being fond of poetry, starts releasing at night, in the back of the stationery shops he still runs nowadays, small booklets of friends' lyrics. Considering such poetic texts as rare jewels, he did his best to produce proper chests to house them: the booklets are even now made with craftsmanship, with particular iconographic research and handmade glueing of the images and customised choice of the font for each volume.
The Publisher's commitment in spreading contemporary poetry has been carried on and - thanks to several collaborators - he owns now a catalogue of around 600 titles by depth poets together with emergent authors.  The selections is very strict and it's made considering the value of the writing as well as it is rigorous the care in supporting the releasing and the author for promotion and visibility as the publishing job - for LietoColle - does not end with the book releasing, task which could merely be fulfilled by a printer, but it is considered as essential the author's joining with the aim of spreading the work. This is confirmed by the various prizes and awards won by our authors during the years.
In fact, LietoColle has been actually defined as "all-purpose" owing to a whole of enterprises promoted and carried out not only to support the authors, but also on the cultural side generally speaking  in favour of Poetry. We would like to recall the organizing of 3 festivals of Italian poetry (Montiglio 2004/2005/2006) , reviews and choral readings  (during the last 3 years almost 80 initiatives) and the participation to Publishing Fairs (Turin, Rome, Chiari, Modena). Further more, it is remarkable the commitment of the company in the poetic solidarity field: since a couple of years it has been started a poetry laboratory inside the Bollate prison and some anthology books  including the participants' works have already been published as well as personal collections of those prisoners showing a particular talent and verse aptitude; with other anthology volumes it has been supported the particular status of handicapped people (Poeti per Sim-patia), of the immigration (Clandestini), of the death penalty (Baci ardenti di vita - Poeti contro la pena di morte), of the blinds (Luce e Notte), of the marginalization in itself (Il Segreto delel Fragole ed 2009). To come to an end, we would like to mention the project "Seme" (Seed), addressed to the students of primary and secondary school (aged from 6 to 14) in the aim of approaching the kids to poetry.
As far as translation is concerned, it has been created the proper series "Altre terre" (Different lands)  which gathers the releases of foreign writers translated into Italian. In 2008 the title "Sordomuta" (Deaf-dumb) by Jorge Boccanera won the International section of the prestigious Camaiore Literary Prize.

LietoColle è una rete a strascico che, mentre in natura sperpererebbe i fondali, in poesia si lascia scappare il meno possibile di ciò che va accendendosi di nuovo in consolidati o giovanissimi autori alla prime prove. La quasi totalità delle collane di poesia delle grosse case editrici è diretta da manager, noi ci avvaliamo invece dei pareri di singoli rilevanti poeti. Così costruiamo le piramidi delle nostre collane, i cui vertici qualitativi sembrano in rassicurante crescita, con nostra editoriale felicità. Se il primo lato della medaglia pare garantire il nostro lavoro come tale, l'altra faccia riguarda particolarmente l'autore. Stiamo parlando di quello che è stato definito il nostro "movimentismo", dato da una oramai consolidata esperienza nel costruire eventi poetici lungo la penisola. Aggiriamo così l'eterna insufficiente distribuzione della poesia. Il secondo aspetto del "movimentismo" riconosciutoci è dato dal tradurre noi stessi i nostri autori maggiori in altre lingue. Cosa che gli editori non fanno. Questo ci consente un vivace scambio poetico con altri Paesi. Danno ragione al nostro lavoro le quantità di giovani che si rivolgono a noi, unitamente al fatto che la stragrande parte dei più significativi poeti italiani ha voluto essere pubblicata fra i nostri autori. Dunque sembra che tutto questo metabolismo vitale ci stia portando, con voi, ad maiora!
